The Brief
Following a recent rebrand, Thomas Global Systems’ existing website no longer reflected their updated visual identity or the scale and sophistication of their product offering. The site needed to present a large and technically complex product range in a way that was clear, engaging, and suitable for both desktop and in-person use at industry exhibitions. In addition, the team required a system that was easy to update internally while maintaining strict design consistency, performance, and SEO standards.

The Solution
I was tasked with fully rebuilding the website using WordPress as the CMS, taking a classic theme approach with minimal plugins and Advanced Custom Fields for structured content management. A strong emphasis was placed on modern frontend development techniques, including fluid typography, fluid spacing, and refined motion using GSAP, to achieve a contemporary and polished look.
A key requirement was to showcase the full product range online and support sales enquiries without overwhelming users. To achieve this, I implemented off-canvas enquiry flows powered by Gravity Forms, allowing multiple context-aware forms to remain hidden until triggered by specific calls to action. Each form captured product-specific enquiry data and fed directly into the client’s CRM, ensuring accurate tracking and follow-up.

The final website delivered a modern, professional platform that aligned closely with Thomas Global Systems’ new branding and industry standing. The product-focused enquiry system proved particularly successful, with the team using the site on tablets at exhibitions to showcase products and capture qualified leads in real time.
Internally, the site was praised for its ease of use and maintainability. Significant effort was invested in refining the content management experience, making it simple for staff to update products, projects, events, and timelines without technical assistance. Key features included product, project, and event listings, an AJAX-powered product filter, a complex Splide-based timeline carousel, and a dynamic news ticker on the homepage.
The site was carefully optimised for page speed, accessibility, and SEO, resulting in a future-proofed platform that supports both marketing and sales while reinforcing the brand’s reputation for technical excellence and reliability.
